Who should attend?
This course is aimed at consultant orthopaedic surgeons and senior orthopaedic trainees who are interested in learning how to use navigation technology for computer assisted surgery.
Places are strictly limited, so please book early to avoid disappointment.
What will you learn?
This intensive course will show you the basics of computer-assisted knee surgery (total knee arthroplasty) from an impartial and independent point of view.
- You will have an opportunity to perform computer-assisted surgery on cadavers with assistance from the experts.
- You will learn tips and hints to help you deal with any problems that may arise during surgery.
- Clinical results will be presented to show how easy it is to use the systems, as well as providing evidence of their effectiveness.
- After the course you will be able to use the navigation system in your daily elective surgery list.
Academics and specialists in computer-assisted surgery will lead the training and you will have the opportunity to take part in navigation system workshops courtesy of our course sponsors.
Choose your workshop
The conference also includes a series of “hands-on” workshops including saw bone and cadaver sessions.
The saw bone sessions will take place on site, with the cadaver sessions taking place in the purpose-built IG Kelly Surgical Skills Suite in the Department of Anatomy at the University of Glasgow.

How much does it cost?
Cost of the course is £500 per delegate. Fees include the full two-day course and registration for the CAOS UK conference. Rooms can be booked at the Beardmore Hotel and Conference Centre at a special delegate rate of £62 per person per night, including full Scottish breakfast.
Payments can be made by cheque or credit card. Cheques should be made out to Golden Jubilee National Hospital (Orthopaedic Research).
