The Beardmore Hotel & Conference Centre was delighted to win at the Scottish Hotel Awards 2012:
Beardmore employee has the "wow" factor
A dedicated member of the Beardmore Hotel and Conference Centre’s concierge team was recently named ‘Employee of the Year’.
Alan Payne, from Knightswood, scooped the top award after being nominated by fellow colleagues for being a “wow with guests” and for always going the extra mile.
Alan, who has worked at the Clydebank hotel for eight years, was delighted to receive the ‘Employee of the Year 2008’ award and thanked his colleagues for nominating him.
He added: “This award means a lot to me as it is from my colleagues. I always do my job to the best of my ability and enjoy looking after our guests – but it’s nice to know your colleagues appreciate your work.
“I work with a great team of people and the Beardmore is a great place to work. I couldn’t do my job without the support of my colleagues so they deserve to be awarded as much as I do.”
Eileen Newman, General Manager of the hotel, and Bronagh Bell, Business Development Director, presented Alan with a certificate and an engraved decanter to mark his achievement.
Bronagh said: “Our Employee of the Year award allows us to reward our staff and let them know that we appreciate their devotion and hard work. We have an exceptional team of staff working at the Beardmore so it is always a difficult decision to make.
“Alan is an extremely dedicated and outstanding member of staff so we are delighted he is our Employee of the Year 2008. He is a credit to the Beardmore Hotel and Conference Centre and we look forward to another great year working with him.”
