The Beardmore Hotel & Conference Centre was delighted to win at the Scottish Hotel Awards 2012:
Central Plaza – the new place to network
Conference organisers and delegates are benefitting from the new Central Plaza reception area at the Beardmore Hotel and Conference Centre.
The transformed Central Plaza creates a dynamic and versatile meeting, catering and networking area that is specially designed for:
- Lunch receptions;
- Drinks receptions;
- Informal meetings;
- Breakout sessions; and
- Event networking.
This more flexible open plan space has been created by relocating the reception desk together with our front office team. This will ensure better customer service and experience for our conference and leisure guests.
Bronagh Bell, Director of the Beardmore, commented: “Central Plaza is an excellent example of a well-executed refurbishment programme that responded to the needs of conference and business guests and sharpened our competitive edge on Scotland’s conference hotel scene.
“As a member of Conference Centre of Excellence, we are experienced in delivering a high quality business experience every time. Customer satisfaction is our number one priority, and we aim to ensure that all of our business and leisure customers have a venue where they can get as much added value to their stay as possible.”
This refurbishment follows other development for conference and business guests at the Beardmore such as:
- the installation of Apple iMacs in every bedroom;
- introduction of webcasting and video conferencing facilities; and the
- creation of two-way audio visual links from the hotel auditorium to the imaging and theatre suits in the neighbouring Golden Jubilee National Hospital for the medical market.
Guests and delegates at the Beardmore can also now benefit from free wireless internet access (also known as WiFi) throughout the complex.
Conference organisers and delegates will be able to keep in touch with the office at no extra cost. And the bandwidth also means that conferences can be webcast, use video conferencing and also become more interactive with social media.
