The Beardmore Hotel & Conference Centre was delighted to win at the Scottish Hotel Awards 2012:

First forum for public sector event organisers

Technology, good practice and the do’s and don’ts of organising events will be the topic of conversation at the first forum for people who organise conferences, seminars and major meetings across the public sector.

The NHS-owned Beardmore Hotel and Conference Centre, the new national NHS and public sector conference venue, is once again breaking new ground by hosting this event on Monday 4 June 2007.

This meeting of minds aims to provide a forum to share good practice and ideas and develop a support network for individuals and teams tasked with delivering excellent conferences within a public service framework.

The interactive full-day conference will include thought provoking presentations from industry experts, who will focus on particular key areas and practical advice.

Participants will also get to use some of the technology that can enhance events, including electronic polling equipment and web casting. Discussion groups will provide an opportunity to share ideas and good practice and identify some of the challenges faced by conference organisers.

Bronagh Bell, Business Development Director for the Beardmore Hotel and Conference Centre, said: “We are extremely excited to be hosting the first ever event of this type, tailored specifically for those who organise conferences on a full or part-time basis.

“We are doing this so that the public sector can have the best conference organisers in Scotland, with our delegates getting some great tips and advice on how to make the most of their future events.”

Places at the conference are free to those who organise events, conferences and meetings for the public sector. For booking information, download the full programme from www.thebeardmore.com/publicsectorconf_forum.pdf
